SOME serves more than 1,200 hot meals per day to the homeless and poor in the Metropolitan Washington DC area, and operates 18 programs of service, including: free dental and medical care, residential addiction treatment, employment training, and a socialization program for mentally-ill homeless persons. SOME also provides services for the elderly, including: two day-care centers, a shelter for abused and/or displaced persons, and a Caregivers program for isolated, homebound persons.
