Our Mission: “To empower people with developmental disabilities to lead personally fulfilling lives.” Founded in 1961, Lambs Farm is a premier non-profit organization serving adults with developmental disabilities. Lambs Farm has grown from a small pet shop in Chicago to a 72-acre campus located in Libertyville, Illinois where opportunity flourishes for the more than 250 men and women served. Lambs Farm offers a growing number of options for Program Participants through a full range of residential, vocational, social and recreational services. • Residential options include an Intermediate Care Facility, campus Group Homes and individual Apartments on campus, as well as Residences in the Community. • Vocational Services include Individual Placement and Supported Employment Programs that provide training and support for those seeking and securing successful employment in the community, as well as placement in a campus business. The Lambs Farm campus businesses include a restaurant, pet shop, thrift shop, bakery, country store, and farmyard with children’s attractions that serve as vocational training sites for Program Participants and teach them transferable skills. • Social and Recreational services at Lambs Farm focus on helping those served learn daily living skills, physical wellness and the development of lifelong interests.
